Flextra is an analgesic and antipyretic used to treat pain, headache, and fever. It may also be used to relieve pain in certain kinds of arthritic conditions. Flextra is also used to treat other conditions as determined by your doctor. |

Flextra Directions? |
|

Use Flextra exactly as directed on the package, unless otherwise directed by your doctor. Flextra may be taken on an empty stomach or with food. STORE FLEXTRA at room temperature in a tightly-closed container, away from heat and light. IF YOU MISS A DOSE OF FLEXTRA and you are using it regularly, take it as soon as possible. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not take 2 doses at once. |

Flextra Side Effects? |

Side Effects, that may go away during treatment, include drowsiness; dizziness; dry mouth, throat, and nose; or thickening of mucus in nose and throat. If they continue or are bothersome, check with your doctor. CONTACT YOUR DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY if you experience easy bleeding or bruising, or persistent sore throat or other signs of infection. An allergic reaction to this drug is unlikely, but seek immediate medical attention if it occurs. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, or trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor, nurse, or pharmacist. |

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE if you have had an allergic reaction to it or are allergic to any ingredient in this product. THIS MEDICINE MAY CAUSE DROWSINESS. DO NOT DRIVE, OPERATE MACHINERY, OR DO ANYTHING ELSE THAT COULD BE DANGEROUS until you know how you react to this medicine. Using this medicine alone, with other medicines, or with alcohol may lessen your ability to drive or to perform other potentially dangerous tasks. THIS MEDICINE CONTAINS ACETAMINOPHEN. Do not take additional acetaminophen for pain or fever without checking with your doctor or pharmacist. Ask your pharmacist if you have questions about which medicines contain acetaminophen. ALCOHOL WARNING: If you consume 3 or more alcoholic drinks every day, ask your doctor whether you should take acetaminophen or other pain relievers/fever reducers. Acetaminophen may cause liver damage. Alcohol use combined with this medicine may increase your risk for liver damage. BEFORE YOU BEGIN TAKING ANY NEW MEDICINE either prescription or over-the-counter, check with your doctor or pharmacist. FOR WOMEN: IF YOU PLAN ON BECOMING PREGNANT, discuss with your doctor the benefits and risks of using this medicine during pregnancy. THIS MEDICINE IS EXCRETED IN BREAST MILK. DO NOT BREAST-FEED while taking this medicine. |

Flextra Drug Interactions? |

Do not take Flextrae if you have taken a monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) such as isocarboxazid (Marplan), phenelzine (Nardil), or tranylcypromine (Parnate) in the last 14 days. A very serious drug interaction could occur, leading to serious side effects.
Urine glucose tests may produce false results while you are taking acetaminophen. Talk to your doctor if you are diabetic and you notice changes in your glucose levels during therapy with Flextrae.
Do not take other over-the-counter cough, cold, allergy, diet, pain or sleep medicines while taking Flextrae without first talking to your doctor. Other medications may also contain acetaminophen, phenyltoloxamine, or other similar drugs and you may accidentally take too much of these medicines.
Flextrae may increase the effects of other drugs that cause drowsiness, including antidepressants, alcohol, other antihistamines, pain relievers, anxiety medicines, seizure medicines, and muscle relaxants. Dangerous sedation, dizziness, or drowsiness may occur if Flextrae is taken with any of these medications. |

Flextra Missed Dose? |

Take the missed dose as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and take only your next regularly scheduled dose. Do not take a double dose of this medication. |

Flextra Storage? |
|

Store it at room temperature away from sunlight and moisture.
Keep this and all medications out of the reach of children. |

Acetaminophen is a pain reliever and a fever reducer.
Phenyltoloxamine is an antihistamine. It blocks the effects of the naturally occurring chemical histamine in the body. Phenyltoloxamine prevents sneezing; itchy, watery eyes and nose; and other symptoms of allergies and hay fever.
Acetaminophen and phenyltoloxamine (FLEXTRA) is used to treat aches and pains, headache, fever, and congestion associated with the flu, colds, allergies, and hay fever. |
