You should take Phendimetrazine at least one hour prior to meals. It is a sustained-release, long acting product and it is important that it be swallowed whole. If you crush or chew them you will destroy the sustained long acting property of the medication and this may cause increased side effects.
Because this medication may cause sleeplessness, you should avoid taking a dose late in the day. Take this medication as prescribed. Do not take it more often or longer than directed. It is usually taken for 8 to 12 weeks. It is generally not recommended to take Phendimetrazine in combination with other appetite suppressants. Consult with a doctor before such use.

The most common side effects reported have been experienced only in the first few days, as the body becomes use to the medication. They are blurred vision, dizziness, dry mouth, sleeplessness, irritability, stomach upset or constipation.
If these effects persist or become annoying or troubling, inform your doctor. If you experience chest pain, nervousness, pounding heart, difficulty urinating, mood changes, breathing difficulties or swelling while taking this medication-notify your doctor. If this medication makes you dizzy or lightheaded, avoid driving or engaging in activities requiring alertness.
